R. Trompaz (1988) is a visual artist, designer, and illustrator, with a degree in graphic design from Centro Universitário Belas Artes, São Paulo. Trompaz uses art as a means of expression and social critique, giving voice to marginalized groups through the project Segregação Social Geograficamente Escancarada [Social Segregation Geographically Exposed] (SSGE), which reflects socio-environmental issues in the context of housing and urban displacement.

His solo exhibitions include Saudações, Milton!, Galeria Karla Osorio; Fuligem, Massapê Projetos; Jornal do Mundo, Galeria Martins&Montero; and R. Trompaz, Galeria São Paulo Flutuante.

He has participated in group exhibitions such as Abre Alas 20, A Gentil Carioca; Trienal de Tijuana: 2. Internacional Pictórica, CECUT, Mexico; Hecho en Brasil: Arte actual brasileño, Imaginario Galeria, Argentina; A Retomada, QUASE; Pipoca, Galeria NONADA SSA; Dimensão Cidade, Casa das Rosas; Cadernos de Artista, Lona Galeria; Instabilidade Fundamental, OMA Galeria; and Até Onde a Vista Alcança, Lateral Galeria.

The title SSGE (2021), acronym for Segregação Social Geograficamente Escancarada [Social Segregation Geographically Exposed], reflects socio-environmental issues within a context of housing and urban displacement. In the work, the artist departs from a verticalized landscape accompanied by everyday scenes to highlight/denounce the disregard of public authorities towards poor populations living in remote areas.
